About FOstering travel

We know that foster care is hard. Several of our board members have been (or are) foster parents or involved in the foster care space. We know it’s hard for the children being removed from their homes to live with strangers. We know it is hard for foster families to welcome children into their homes that they don’t know.

Have you ever gone on a trip with people you didn’t know, and by the end of it, you became good friends, and almost like family? There is something about traveling and having adventures together that creates a bond between people. We want that for foster families.

We also know that there are so many visits, appointments, and balls in the air that planning a vacation seems impossible. And let’s be honest, costly. For these reasons, we want to bless children in foster care and the families that serve them with planned for them, all expense paid vacations. To bond. To make memories. To rest. To have fun. To experience joy and hope in the midst of difficult situations.

Our prayer is that a vacation provided by Fostering Travel Foundation will ease a bit of the stress and strain of the foster care system while also strengthening relationships and shared experience within the foster family.

We can’t think of anyone more deserving of a vacation.
